Descending to Ruby Falls

Located over 1120 feet beneath the surface, Ruby Falls is the nation’s largest and deepest public waterfall.  The falls, which has been open as public attraction since the 1930’s, is a stunning 145 feet tall, and features hundreds of gallons of water pouring over it every minute.  The cave that leads to Ruby Falls is filled with beautiful natural wonders that have continued to amaze visitors over these last 85 years.  Visitors to Ruby Falls can choose from two guided tour options.  The regular guided tour is available daily between 8am and 8pm, and will highlight the unique geological features and formations along the way.  For a unique glimpse into the wonders of Ruby Falls, plan to be here on a Friday, so you can head deep into the cave under Lookout Mountain with only Lanterns to light the way.
