There’s never a dull moment in the vibrant city of Chattanooga, and fall is no exception to this. Chattanooga has long been hailed as an outdoor mecca for adventure enthusiasts. With a tremendous variety of options for outdoor recreation, from hiking, biking, and rockclimbing, to boating, caving, and whitewater rafting, Chattanooga’s popularity comes as no surprise. However, there is so much more to Chattanooga than spending time in the outdoors. The scenic city has plenty of exciting and fun fall activities planned to be enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. To get in on some of this fun, book your room at our luxurious Bed and Breakfast on nearby Lookout Mountain today.
Though it would be extremely difficult to take part in all of the fun fall activities happening in and around Chattanooga, you can certainly enjoy a good variety of them. During the first weekend in October, music lovers can enjoy the 3 Sisters Music Festival at Ross’ Landing. This popular festival has been ranked as one of the 5 best bluegrass festivals in the country, and definitely is worth attending. For a little fall-themed fun, join our neighbors, Rock City Gardens, in celebrating their annual Rocktoberfest. This fun event celebrates Rock City’s German heritage with German music, polka lessons, German food, specialty beer, costumed characters and fun for the whole family. Other fall activities that you shouldn’t miss are Oktoberfest at the Chattanooga Market, the enchanted maze at Blowing Springs Farm, Ruby Falls Haunted Cavern, Rock City’s Blowing Screams Farm Haunt Complex, the Aquarium’s ODDTober, the Halloweeen Eerie Express on the Tennessee Valley Railroad, and the Boo at the Zoo.
If there are two fall activities that shouldn’t be missed in Chattanooga, they are the 2015 RiverRocks Games and the Head of the Hooch Rowing Regatta. RiverRocks Adventure Sports Games is a highly anticipated event for outdoor adventure athletes that takes place on multiple dates throughout the month of October. Events include road & trail running, open water events, rock climbing/bouldering, and mountain biking, live music, and plenty of athleticism and fun. The annual Head of the Hooch rowing Regatta takes place November 7-8th this year, and is one of the world’s largest rowing Regattas. Spectators can watch this exciting event from several places along the Tennessee River. As you can see, it’s going to be a busy fall in Chattanooga. Book your room at our luxury Bed and Breakfast early, so you can participate in these exciting fall activities.
